Welcome to Larkman Violins


I have been luthier in residence for Trinity Conservatoire since 2010. In 2013, as well as my work at the college I became the luthier for Tarisio Europe. I am proud of my association with both organisations.

I carry out a wide range of repairs from simple set up adjustments to full scale restorations. I sell a good selection of instruments, for students and professionals alike and also stock a wide range of strings and accessories which are sold at internet prices. In the coming months I hope to be able to give you an insight into some of the making and restoration projects that are carried out in the workshop.

As well as my own work, I am very pleased to be able to represent some of the country’s leading contemporary makers, including William John, Ian McWilliams, Steffen Nowak and Yann Besson. You can find examples of their work in instruments for sale.
